Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioners respective representations dated 20.12.2021, 24.12.2021 and 28.12.2021 as a special category while selection of Lectures in the Government Polytechnic Colleges and Special Institutions (Engineering/Non-Engineering) vide Notification No.14/19 dated 27.11.2019.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent to consider the petitioners respective representations dated 20.12.2021, 24.12.2021 and 28.12.2021 as a special category while selection of Lectures in the Government Polytechnic Colleges and Special Institutions (Engineering/Non-Engineering) vide Notification No.14/19 dated 27.11.2019.

2. It is the case of the writ petitioner that they had applied for the above post. The petitioners requested for change of examination centres and their request was acceded. However, the same was not informed to the concerned Examination Centre and the examination login duration were granted for only 3 hours, wherein, they are entitled for 4 hours login duration. Hence, the petitioners made the representations which are pending without consideration till date. Hence, this writ petition.

Mr.R.Neelakandan, learned Additional Advocate General submitted that in respect of the representations of the first and third petitioner, Authorities have considered and rejected, whereas, the copies will be communicated to the respective petitioners, however, in respect of the second and fourth petitioner, the same will be considered on its own merits within a period of one month. 2/4

4. Such view of the matter, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representations of the second and fourth petitioner and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
