COMMON ORDER These petitioners seeks mandamus simplicitor directing the respondents to consider representations dated 22.01.2022 and subsequently forbearing the respondents particularly R2/the Zonal Officer of Puzhuthivakkam, Perumbakkam, Chennai-91 from interfering with their business.

2. They seek protection under the provisions of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014, which provides for the constitution of Zonal Vending Committees in all zones of the Greater Chennai Corporation, which are to regulate the activities of the street vendors.

3. Admittedly, the representations of the petitioners dated 22.01.2022 have been sent to R2 but there is no receipt of acknowledgement of same. Thus, the representation being part of the compilation of documents accompanying the writ affidavit, shall be forwarded by the learned counsel for the respondents to the concerned Township Vending Committee to take appropriate action, after hearing the petitioners, in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from today.

4. These writ petitions are disposed in the above terms. Consequently, connected misceallenous petitions are closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
