Respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion as District Revenue Officer from the date of his juniors being promoted as District Revenue Officer within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

The relief sought for in the writ petition is to calling for the records of the 2nd Respondent made in Ser.2CD/74478/05 dated 03.03.2006 and quash the same and consequently direct the 2nd Respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion as District Revenue Officer from the date of his juniors being promoted as District Revenue Officer within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

2. Today when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.

3. In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
