Crl.O.P.No.2167 of 2024 Crl.O.P.No.2167 of 2024 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN , J.

The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.31 of 2023 registered by the respondent Police for the offences punishable under Sections 354A (1)(ii), 354D of IPC and 11(1), 11(4) and 12 of POCSO Act, 2012.

2. It is stated that a complaint had been lodged on 14.12.2023 stating that on 17.11.2023 the accused had come to the house of the defacto complainant and harassed her daughters. The statement of the three children had been recorded and it shows that they are living in terror of the accused herein. He had knocked at the door in the middle of the night and had spoken ill of them.

3. Taking all those factors into consideration and the nature of this statement made when recorded under 164(5) Cr.P.C., at this stage, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
