O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents, particularly, the first respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner wherein the petitioner is seeking for issuance of patta with respect to the subject property, which has been categorised as a Government Natham Poramboke.

2. Heard Mr.R.Srinivasa Rao, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that subsequent to the representations made by the petitioner, a notice was issued by the third respondent calling for a report and thereafter, there was absolutely no progress.

4. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that it is for the first respondent to deal with 2/4

the request made by the petitioner and a decision will be taken by the first respondent within a time frame fixed by this Court.

5. Taking into consideration and the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court and considering the specific claim made by the petitioner to the effect that he is residing in the subject property for nearly 50 years, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 17.01.2025 and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
