O R D E R

(Order of the Court was delivered by V.M.VELUMANI, J.) The Writ Petition is filed for a direction to the Collector/1st respondent herein to issue "Hindu MalaiKuravan" community certificate to his daughter and son namely R.Logeshwari and R.Lingeshwaran based on petitioner's representation dated 22.06.2022.

2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as Mr.P.Gurunathan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as Mr.P.Gurunathan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the entire materials on record.

4. According to the petitioner, he belongs to Hindu MalaiKuravar Community. The petitioner's daughter and son namely R.Lokeshwari and R.Lingeshwaran are studying Eleventh and Nineth Standard respectively in the Government Higher Secondary School, Poonamallee, Tiruvallur 2/6

District. The petitioner applied for community certificate to his daughter and son through online applications dated 16.12.2021 and 19.09.2022. The Revenue Inspector, Maduravoyal Taluk, Chennai has conducted enquiry and recommended to the Tahsildar for issuance of "Hindu Malai Kuravan" community certificate to the petitioner's children. But no action was taken on the said recommendation. Therefore, the petitioner sent a representation dated 20.06.2022 to the Chief Minister Cell and the said representation was forwarded to the District Collector/1st respondent. On receiving the said representation, the 1st respondent directed the 2nd respondent to conduct enquiry and pass orders on the representation. Till today, no order has been passed and hence, the petitioner has come out with the present writ petition for the relief sought for.

5. Mr.P.Gurunathan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 22.06.2022 will be considered and necessary orders will be passed in accordance with law.

6. Considering the above submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Additional Government Pleader 3/6

appearing for the respondents, the petitioner is directed to send a fresh representation to the 2nd respondent enclosing all the documents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the same, after giving opportunity to the petitioner and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks, thereafter.

7. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
