The petitioner is an accused in S.C.No.10 of 2016 which is pending trial before the Assistant Sessions Judge, Chidhambaram, seeks bail. 2.Originally, Crime No.1026 of 2023 had been registered by the respondent Police for the offences under Sections 436 IPC. 3.It is stated that since the petitioner absconded from judicial process, Non Bailable Warrant had been issued against him on 24.09.2018. The petitioner was secured only after five years 24.07.2023. It is stated that the trial is under progress and substantial number of witnesses have already been examined.
4.A direction is given to the learned Assistant Sessions Judge, Chidambaram to endeavour to complete the trial in S.C.No.10 of 2016 on or before 31.03.2024.
