Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the 2nd respondent from changing the service condition of members of the petitioner union whose names are furnished in the annexure to this affidavit, by induling in deduction of wages in respect of subject matter of I.D.No.687 of 2000 pending before the 1st respondent, in violation of section 33 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947.

The relief sought for in the present Writ Petition is to forbear the changing of service condition in view of the pendency of I.D.No.687 of 2000 before the learned Presiding Officer, Labour Court, Salem.

2. Today, when the matter is called, it is brought to the notice of this Court that I.D.No.687 of 2000 is still pending before the Labour Court, Salem. In my view, if the proceedings pending before the Labour Court is directed to be disposed of within a stipulated time, the ends of justice would be met.

3. In the light of the above observations, the Writ Petition stands disposed of with a direction to the learned Presiding Officer, Labour Court, to dispose of the proceedings in I.D.No.687 of 2000, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
