PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1 to 4th respondents to consider the petitioner's objection letters dated 12.10.2018 and 04.01.2019 before issuing an electricity connection to the 5 to 7th respondents herein. The grievances of the writ petitioner is that he made an objection by way of representation dated 04.01.2019 for providing Electricity Service Connection to the respondents 5 to

7. The said representation is yet to be considered. However, the respondents 1 to 4 are initiating steps to provide Electricity Service Connection. Thus, the writ petitioner is constrained to move the present writ petition.

2. It is needless to state that if any objection is filed by the writ petitioner, the Competent Authorities are bound to consider the same and take a decision on merits and in accordance with law. In this view of the matter, the 4th respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 04.01.2019 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
