ORDER
Ms.R.Uma Maheshwari, claiming that her grandfather was an allottee of Plot No.43, Door No.28, Bharathi Nagar, Mandavelipakkam, Chennai by the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board vide letter No.339/A3/2007 dated 5.4.2007, has come to this Court seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to restore the electricity service connection in her portion bearing service connection No.127-13-236, in respect of the Plot No.43, Door No.28, Bharati Nagar, Mandavelipakkam, Chennai, on the basis of her representation dated 7.1.2019. Since the original allottee late M.K.Raje, the grandfather of the petitioner, died on 19.7.2018, although the petitioner has been in possession of one portion of the Plot No.43, Door No.28, Bharati Nagar, Mandavelipakkam, Chennai, all of a sudden, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
electricity service connection No.127-13-236 provided to the residential portion was disconnected from September 2018, as a result the petitioner is unable to live without the electricity service connection. Now the petitioner is also studying B.Sc degree in Dr.MGR Janaki Arts and Science College for Women, Chennai and without the electricity service connection, it will be very difficult to prepare for the examinations. Therefore, a direction be isssued to the respondent to restore the electricity service connection No.127-13-236 in Plot No.43, Door No.28, Bharati Nagar, Mandavelipakkam, Chennai.

When the matter was taken up on 6.2.2019, the learned standing counsel for the respondent stated that there was no disconnection effected by the respondent, however, he sought time to take instructions. After taking instructions, today, he has restated that there was no such electricity disconnection made by the respondent.
3. Recording the above statement, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
