Mr.R.Venkatesh, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondents and is armed with instructions to proceed with the matter. By consent of both sides, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal even at the stage of admission.

The petitioner seeks a mandamus directing the Commissioner, Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowment Department/R2 to dispose the petitioner's representations dated 18.03.2020 and 23.12.2020.

3. Mr.Venkatesh would confirm that the representations of the petitioner have been received and a report has been sought for from the authorities, upon receipt of which, suitable orders will be passed on the representations, after hearing the petitioner.
4. Recording the aforesaid, though the prayer is for a direction to R2, both learned counsel agree that the appropriate authority is the Joint Commissioner/R3, a direction is issued to R3 to furnish the report of the authorities to the petitioner and dispose the representations of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from today, after hearing the petitioner.
5. This Writ Petition is disposed with no order as to costs.
