O R D E R

This petition has been filed to call for the records of FIR in Crime No.184/2012 on the file of Valavanthinadu Police Station, Namakkal District and quash the FIR.

2. The FIR has been registered as against the petitioners for the alleged offence under sections 341 of IPC and 3(1) of TNPPDL Act based on the complaint given by one Singarayan. The said complaint was registered in Crime No.184/2012 on 12.12.2012. Hence, the petitioners have come forward to quash the FIR.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the allegations in the complaint do not constitute any cognizable offence and inspite of the same, a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

case has been registered against the petitioners in Crime No.184 of 2012 and thus, he sought for quashing of the FIR.

5. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that investigation is still in progress.

6. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the respondent police to expedite the investigation in Crime No.184/2012 and file a final report as early as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
