O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to refund the security deposit amount of Rs.4,60,000/- along with 5% of with held amount with interest on the basis of the representation of the petitioner dated 22.12.2017.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that on 13.04.2005, the petitioner was declared as the successful bidder. Prior to his participation in the auction, the petitioner had deposited a sum of Rs.4,60,000/- as the Forest Department has called for tender for improvement of black topping from Pudar Nadu to Singarapettai of Allangayam to the length of 11 km from km 0/000 - 11/000 of Vellore District. Even after completion of the work, till date, the respondent has not refunded the security deposit amount, for which the petitioner has also given a detailed representation on 22.12.2017. As the said representation has also not been considered by the respondent, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

3.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that four weeks time may be granted to consider the petitioner's representation and to dispose of the same.

4.In view of the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.12.2017 for refund of the security deposit amount of Rs.4,60,000/- and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
