ORDER
The prayer of the petitioner is for a mandamus for consideration of his application dated 03.11.2022 seeking domestic electricity supply connection in regard to the residential property at Survey No.140/5A, Plot No.1, Door No.2/1242, Main Road, Colony Street, Valaja Nagaram, Ariyalur, Ariyalur District ('property'/'property in question'). 2.Admittedly, no charges have been paid in respect of the application, or relevant documents supplied to the respondents. This is precisely the case of the respondent counsel as well, who states that barring the bald application, no material particulars have been filed in respect of the same.
3.Hence, it would suffice to permit the petitioner to appear before the second respondent / Superintending Engineer, Tamil nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd., Ariyalur, Ariyalur District, at 11.00 a.m., on 12.06.2024, accompanied by all documents in support of the petitioner's application along with the necessary charges, in appropriate form. The date and time of hearing has been fixed after seeking mutual convenience of the parties. After hearing the petitioner and consideration 2/4
of the documents, let the application be ordered either positively or if adverse by way of a speaking order, within a period of two weeks from the date of personal hearing i.e., on or before 27.06.2024, in accordance with law and all applicable rules and regulations. 4.
Writ petition stands disposed in terms of this order. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
