O R D E R
The Writ Petition has been filed, challenging the impugned order of the 1st respondent, namely, Regional Deputy Director of Survey and Land Records, Trichy, being the Appellate Authority, confirming the order passed by the Assistant Director of Survey and Land Records, Perambalur District, imposing punishment of stoppage of increment for one year with cumulative effect for the proven charges.

When the matter was taken up, the learned Counsel for the petitioner although argued the matter forcibly, when a specific query was posed as to whether the punishment has been undergone by the petitioner before his retirement, he gave an affirmative answer. Therefore, when the punishment of stoppage of increment for one year with cumulative effect imposed against the petitioner by the 2nd respondent was confirmed by the Appellate Authority, namely, the 1st respondent herein and the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
punishment has already been undergone by the petitioner and he subsequently retired from service long time ago, nothing survives in the matter.

In view of the above, the Writ Petition is dismissed and the same is accordingly dismissed. No costs. Connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
