ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed to call for the records relating to the impugned order passed by the second respondent in No.Nil, dated 13.12.2019 and quash the same and consequently to direct the second respondent to sanction the educational loan to the tune of Rs.1,50,000/- to the petitioner's son, by name Velmurugan.

The petitioner has sought for educational loan for his son, namely, Velmurugan, who is pursuing the course of Health Inspector at Sri Muthulakshmi Ammal College of Para Medical Science, Thanjavur. For the academic year 2018-2019, the fee payable was Rs.75,000/- and for the second academic year 2019https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2020, the fee payable was Rs.75,000/-, totally, it comes to Rs.1,50,000/-. The petitioner had approached the second respondent-Bank and made an application for sanction of educational loan to the tune of Rs.1,50,000/-. However, the same was rejected by the second respondent-Bank on 13.12.2019 stating that the proposal could not be entertained, as already the second respondent-Bank had achieved its target for the current academic year.

However, when the matter is taken up for hearing today, it is represented by the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent-Bank that under the 'Vidya Vani Educational Loan Scheme', the petitioner was granted a sum of Rs.84,000/-, which was received and acknowledged with thanks by the petitioner himself.
4. Recording the above statement, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
