Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 to 4 to seize the illegally cut down trees from the respondents 5 to 10 and prevent the respondents 5 to 10 further felling down the remaining trees in S.No.1/2A, 1/2C, 2/1 to 2/3, 3/1 to 3/6, 4/2A to 4/2D, 5/1 to 5/7, 5/9, 5/10, 6/1 to 6/6, 7,8,9/1 to 9/6, 10/1 to 10/6, 11, 12/1, 12/4, 13/2 to 13/6, 15/1V to 15/4, 17/1A, 17/1B, 17/1B, 17/1C, 19/1 to 19/3, 20/1 to 20/3, 21/1 to 21/3, 22/2A to 22/2E, 23/1, 23/2, 24/2C, 24/2D, 30/2A to 30/2E, 41/2A to 41/2H, 472/2A to 472/2K in Ponthavakkam Village, Gummidipoondi Taluk, Thiruvallur District by passing orders on the representation dated 22.05.2015 and 25.05.2015.

ORDER

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents 2 to 4 to seize the illegally cut down trees from the respondents 5 to 10 and prevent the respondents 5 to 10 further felling down the remaining trees in S.No.1/2A, 1/2C, 2/1 to 2/3, 3/1 to 3/6, 4/2A to 4/2D, 5/1 to 5/7, 5/9, 5/10, 6/1 to 6/6, 7,8,9/1 to 9/6, 10/1 to 10/6, 11, 12/1, 12/4, 13/2 to 13/6, 15/1V to 15/4, 17/1A, 17/1B, 17/1B, 17/1C, 19/1 to 19/3, 20/1 to 20/3, 21/1 to 21/3, 22/2A to 22/2E, 23/1, 23/2, 24/2C, 24/2D, 30/2A to 30/2E, 41/2A to 41/2H, 472/2A to 472/2K in Ponthavakkam Village, Gummidipoondi Taluk, Thiruvallur District by passing orders on the representation dated 22.05.2015 and 25.05.2015.

2. On account of efflux of time, the petitioner-Sangam is unable to place the current status in respect of the allegations set out in the writ petition. However, the issues raised require an adjudication by the Competent Authorities based on the present position.

3. This being the factum, the petitioner-Sangam is at liberty to approach the Competent Authorities, if any grievance exists as of now for the purpose of redressing the same.

4. With the abvoesaid liberty, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
