ORDER

The petitioner has filed this contempt petition, to punish the respondents for disobeying the order dated 20.07.2023 of this Court in W.P.No.21533 of 2023.

2. By order dated 20.07.2023, the first respondent was directed to pass appropriate orders to reimburse the petitioner for the differential GST liability on account of increase in tax rates.

3. At the hearing today, the alleged contemnor has filed a 2/4

Compliance Report dated 13.03.2024. In such Report, it is stated that the order was complied with. It is further submitted that the total amount payable towards additional GST is Rs.5,41,58,058/-. Out of this amount, a sum of Rs.4,57,39,391/- was paid to the contractor through ECS on 15.03.2024. As regards the balance of Rs.84,18,667/-, it is stated that this amount will be paid within two weeks.
