Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the entire records of second respondent herein relating to the selection of candidates for the appointment as Lecturers in Zoology for Government Arts and Science colleges and Colleges of Education, Tamil Nadu for the year 2008-09 recruited by the second respondent in pursuance to G.O.Ms.No.8, Higher Education (F2) Department dated 14.01.2008 and to quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to effect recruitment afresh by way of considering the candidature of the writ petitioner for the post of Lecturer in Zoology for Government Arts and Science Colleges of Education, Tamil Nadu for the year 2008-09 under the BC category, in accordance with law.

ORDER

The petitioner has sought for issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus, calling for the entire records of the second respondent herein relating to the selection of candidates https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

for appointment as Lecturers in Zoology for the Government Arts and Science colleges and Colleges of Education, Tamil Nadu for the year 2008-09 recruited by the second respondent in pursuance of G.O.Ms.No.8, Higher Education (F2) Department dated 14.01.2008, quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to effect recruitment afresh by way of considering the candidature of the writ petitioner for the post of Lecturer in Zoology for Government Arts and Science Colleges of Education, Tamil Nadu for the year 2008-09 under the BC category, in accordance with law.

2. When the matter was listed on 14.2.2019, there was no representation for the petitioner. So the Registry was directed to renotify the matter on 15.2.2019 under the caption "for dismissal". Even today, when the matter was taken up, there is no representation for the petitioner. Hence, this writ petition is dismissed for non prosecution. Consequently, M.P.No.1 of 2014 is also dismissed. No costs.
