..Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to call for the records relating to the list of the Assistant Teachers dated 14.2.2007 prepared by the second respondent for promotion to the post of Elementary School Headmasters / Headmistresses and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to place the name of the petitioner in the Serial Number 9 as per the seniority ranking given by the Teachers Recruitment Board.

The prayer sought for by the petitioner is to consider her promotion to the post of Elementary School Headmistress reiterating to quash the seniority list prepared by the second respondent for the said post, which according to her is illegal and to consider her seniority ranking as given by the Teachers Recruitment Board.

2. No representation for the petitioner. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner was not eligible to be considered for promotion during the year 2007. However, in the subsequent panel, the petitioner's name has been included and she got promoted. Therefore, nothing survives in this writ petition and the same may be dismissed.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected writ miscellaneous petition is closed.
