Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to mutate the Revenue Records viz.Adangal, Chitta, etc., in respect of the land measuring an extent of 30 cents situate in S.No.286/9, Pethaathampatti Village, Pappireddipatti Taluk in the petitioner's name on the basis of his representations dated 18.02.2009, 12.06.2009, 19.11.2009, 08.06.2010, 11.07.2011, 15.05.2012, 14.05.2013 and 03.01.2022.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to mutate the Revenue Records viz.Adangal, Chitta, etc., in respect of the land measuring an extent of 30 cents situate in S.No.286/9, Pethaathampatti Village, Pappireddipatti Taluk in the petitioner's name on the basis of his representations dated 18.02.2009, 12.06.2009, 19.11.2009, 08.06.2010, 11.07.2011, 15.05.2012, 14.05.2013 and 03.01.2022.
2.The case of the petitioner is that he is doing agriculture for his livelihood. On 20.01.2006, the subject property was assigned to him and assignment patta was also granted and he is in possessing and enjoyment of the same. Hence, he made several representations to the respondents seeking mutation of revenue records and the last of such representation was made on 03.01.2022 and since the same have not yet been considered, has filed this writ petition. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.01.2022 and to pass appropriate orders within a reasonable time frame. 4.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.01.2022, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
