Prayer in W.P.No.28627 of 2006: Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorari calling for the records relating to G.O.Ms. No. 91 Transport (12) Department, dt. 14.12.2005 issued by the 2nd Respondent and quash the same.

Prayer in W.P.No.28628 of 2006: Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Declaration declaring the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial purposes Act 1980 (Tamil Nadu Act 10 of 199 and the rules framed thereunder as ultra vires void and unconstitutional .. For Petitioner in both W.Ps : No Appearance For Respondent in both W.Ps : Mrs.R.Janaki Additional Government Pleader for R1, R2, R4 & R5 Mr.Ravindran for R3 Mr.S.Venkatesan for R6 C O M M O N O R D E R The learned counsel appearing for the respondents brought to the notice of this Court that the present writ petitions have been filed challenging the land acquisition proceedings. However, during the pendency of the writ petition, the acquisition proceedings were dropped by the competent authorities.

In the light of the above, no further adjudication needs to be entertained in respect of the grounds raised in the present writ petitions. Accordingly, the writ petitions stand closed.
