In a proposed suit for defamation, the applicant seeks leave to sue the respondent / proposed defendant before this Court. It is submitted that the respondent has put up a defamatory video which has been seen by more than 85 people, including a significant number of people within the jurisdiction of this Court.

2. Upon examining the draft plaint and the affidavit in support, it is clear that at least a part of the cause of action has arisen within the jurisdiction of this Court. Consequently, A.No.369 of 2023 is allowed by granting leave to sue and the Registry is directed to number the suit, if otherwise in order.
