O R D E R

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Additional District Munsif, Alandur, to dispose the suit in O.S.No.314 of 2015, within a stipulated period of time.

2. The revision petitioner is the defendant and the respondent is the plaintiff in O.S.No.314 of 2015, on the file of the Additional District Munsif Court, Alandur. The respondent filed the above suit, for permanent injunction restraining the petitioner from in any way interfering with the respondent's peaceful possession and enjoyment of the suit schedule property.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has already filed the written statement along with counter claim on 15.04.2016, issues were also framed and the suit is posted for trial, the suit was unnecessarily adjourned periodically without conducting the trial. The respondent filed proof affidavit on 25.01.2017 for marking of documents and subsequently, it was adjourned to 17.02.2017, 20.02.2017, 06.04.2017 and 22.04.2017. In the circumstances, the petitioner has come out with the present Civil Revision Petition, for early disposal of the suit.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

5. Considering the limited prayer sought for in the Civil Revision Petition and without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the matter, I direct the Additional District Munsif, Alandur, to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.314 of 2015, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, in any event, not later than 31st August 2017.

6. The Civil Revision Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
