O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to consider the representation dated 03.09.2016 for issuance of patta in favour of the petitioners.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that though the petitioners have given the representation dated 03.09.2016 for issuance of patta, the 3rd respondent has not considered the same and passed any orders so far.

3.Mr.S.V.Doraisolaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader taking notice for the respondents submitted that the 3rd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioners' representation and pass orders in accordance with law. 4.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioners, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 03.09.2016 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is open to the petitioners to give a fresh representation to the 3rd respondent within one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
