ORDER

The petitioner, who is an accused in Crime No.31/2017 for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(i) IPC and Section 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) and 3(2)(va) of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, seeks a direction to the I Additional District and Sessions Judge(PCR), Thanjavur, to consider and dispose of his bail application that will be filed by him under Section 439 of Cr.P.C. on the same day.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

3. Considering the nature of the prayer sought for and taking note of the fact that the petitioner is prepared to surrender before the learned I Additional District and Sessions https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Judge(PCR), Thanjavur, there shall be a direction to the I Additional District and Sessions Judge(PCR), Thanjavur, to consider the bail application to be submitted by the petitioner along with his surrender before that Court, on the same day on merits and pass appropriate orders. The petitioner is directed to give advance notice to the Additional Public Prosecutor before the said court. The criminal original petition is ordered accordingly.
