This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 09.01.2025 and to direct the 3rd respondent to entertain and register the document without insisting for the original title document. 2.

Heard Mr.S.Deivasigamani, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Shahjahan, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3. 3.

In the considered view of this Court, the petitioner has sought for a blanket relief and on the presumption that the document will not be entertained if the original title document is not presented. Such blanket orders cannot be 2/4

passed by this Court. Insofar as the production of original title document is concerned, the same is governed under Rule 55A of the Tamil Nadu Registration Rules [hereinafter referred to as the "Registration Rules"]. If the original title deed is not available, the petitioner has to satisfy the requirement under third proviso to Rule 55A of the Registration Rules. If the same is done, the registering authority will entertain the document in line with various judgements that have been given by this Court. Except giving this clarity, no further orders can be passed in this writ petition.
