ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to file a charge sheet in Crime No.547 of 2014 pending on his file, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that as against one S.Bharathidasan, he has lodged a complaint with the respondent police and the same was registered as FIR in Crime No.547 of 2014 for the offence punishable under Section 420 r/w 34 IPC. Though the complaint was registered on 14.12.2014, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, this petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondent.

4. Considering the fact that the case is pending from 2014, this Court directs the respondent police to investigate the case in Crime No.547 of 2014 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is ordered.
