The present Application has been filed to extend the time for completion of the arbitration proceedings, by a further period of three months.

This Court by order dated 01.04.2021 has appointed Mr.R.Murari, Senior Advocate as sole Arbitrator and the learned Arbitrator was directed to conclude the arbitration proceedings within a period of six months.

The learned counsel for the applicant submits that though the arbitration proceedings were periodically conducted by the Arbitrator, the Arbitration could not be completed within the time granted by this Court. He further submits that the mandate of arbitration prescribed by this Court had expired and hence, seeks a further time to complete the arbitration proceedings.

In the present case, notice was ordered to the respondents and the same was returned with an endorsement "door locked". 5.

Considering the submissions made by the parties, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate of the learned Arbitrator by a further period of six months. Accordingly, the mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended by six more months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6.

This Application is ordered accordingly.
