Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for writ of certiorarified mandamus calling for the records of the in R.C.No.RA5(2)/74570/2007 AA.No.178/2007 dated 30/31.10.2007 passed by the 1st respondent confirming the order passed in Na.Ka.No.C2/60349/2004 dated 06.09.2007 passed by the second respondent and quash the same as illegal improper, unreasonable, arbitrary and against the law and violation of principles of natural justice and thereby direct the respondents to grant license to the petitioner to run his cracker selling business at Door No.D9, Longu Bazaar, Vellore, Vellore District.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the order dated 31.10.2007 passed by the first respondent. 2.

It is the case of the petitioner that she applied for renewal of licence for selling crackers for the period from 2007 to 2008 with the second respondent. The renewal application was dismissed by the second respondent. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner preferred a statutory appeal before the first respondent. The said appeal also got rejected. Aggrieved by the same, this writ petition has been filed.

Admittedly, the renewal application for selling crackers was sought for the period from 2007 to 2008. Since the said period has now come to an end, the writ petition has become infructuous.

It is represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner that despite his best efforts, he is unable to contact his client.

In view of the prayer sought for in this writ petition having become infructuous, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
