Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the second respondent relating to her proceedings in RC.No.185619/E1-1/2006 dated 12.06.2008 confirming the proceedings of the third respondent in RC.No.185619/E1-1/2006 dated 16.11.2007 and quash the same as illegal and without jurisdiction and consequently direct the respondents to include the petitioner's name in the panel of Officers for the year 2005-2006 fit for promotion/appointment to the post of Secretary to the Regional Deputy Director of Government Examinations and promote him to the post of Secretary to the Regional Deputy Director of Government Examinations with effect from the date on which his immediate junior Tmt.S.Kousalya was promoted with all consequential benefits and other monitory benefits. ORDER

When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, the name of the petitioner was included in the panel for promotion and he was also promoted to the post of Secretary to the Regional Deputy Director of Government Examinations and hence, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition.

2.Recording the submission so made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition stands closed. No costs.
