PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to implement the order dated 28.06.2006 made in W.P.No.39187 of 2002 of the Division Bench of this Hon'ble Court confirming the order dated 30.04.2002 made in OA.No.292 of 2001 by the Central Administrative Tribunal directing payment of interest for the delay in payment of Gratuity from 01.02.1989. O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to implement the order dated 28.06.2006 passed by the Division Bench of this Court in W.P.No.39187 of 2002, confirming the order dated 30.04.2002 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal in OA.No.292 of 2001 with regard to the payment of interest for the settlement of gratuity amount.

2. When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner is no more and hence liberty may be granted to the legal heirs of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner to approach the authorities concerned for appropriate relief.

3. Granting such liberty, this writ petition stands closed. No costs.
