Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to assign patta in the petitioner's favour for the petitioner's house, bearing Door No.1/189, Jambodai Street, Muttukkadu, Chengalpattu Taluk, Kancheepuram District to make permanent in nature of the petitioner's living as per representation dated 19.06.2012 by considering my lengthy period of possession and enjoyment.

ORDER

Heard Mr.R.Thanjan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.S.Suresh, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

2.This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for a direction upon the respondents to assign patta in his favour for his house, bearing Door No.1/189, Jambodai Street, Muttukkadu, Chengalpattu Taluk, Kancheepuram District, to make permanent in nature of the petitioner's living, as per representation dated 19.06.2012, by considering his lengthy period of possession and enjoyment.

3.The learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the land in question has been classified as "Meikkal Poramboke". 4.If that is so, then there is no vested right for the petitioner to claim for grant of patta. If the petitioner has any documents to establish the right over the property, it is well open to the petitioner to file a fresh application. 5.With the above observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
