ORDER
The petitioners, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 08.01.2026 for the offences punishable under Section 194 of BNSS @ Section 108 of BNS, in Crime No.6 of 2026, registered on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioners is that they are all relatives and that they had mortgaged the house in which the deceased and her husband were residing, without their knowledge. When the deceased questioned them, they allegedly abused her, threatened her with dire consequences and also demanded her to vacate from the house. Unable to bear the humiliation and insult, the deceased committed suicide by hanging. Hence, a case has been registered and the petitioner was arrested.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners have been falsely implicated in this case and that they are in judicial custody since 08.01.2026. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioners.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that there are totally five accused in this case and the petitioners are ranked as A2 and A3. He further submitted that all the accused were arrested in this case and the investigation is still pending. Hence, he opposed to grant bail to the petitioners.
5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record including the First Information Report.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the nature of the allegations, the fact that it is a case of suicide and that the petitioners are ladies, and also considering the period of his incarceration, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioners with certain conditions. 2/5

Accordingly, the petitioners are ordered to be released on bail on their executing a bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) each with two sureties each, for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Panruti, and on further conditions that: [a] the sureties shall affix their photographs and Left Thumb Impression in the surety bond and the Magistrate may obtain a copy of their Aadhar card or Bank pass Book to ensure their identity;
[b] the petitioners shall report before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m., for a period of three weeks and thereafter as and when required for interrogation. [c] the petitioners shall not abscond either during investigation or trial;
[d] the petitioners shall not tamper with the evidence or witness either during investigation or trial; [e] On breach of any of the aforesaid conditions, the learned Magistrate/Trial Court is entitled to take appropriate action against the petitioners in accordance with law as if the conditions have been imposed and the petitioners released on bail by the learned Magistrate/Trial Court himself, as laid down by the Hon'ble 3/5

[f] If the accused thereafter absconds, a fresh FIR can be registered under Section 269 B.N.S.
