ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.06.2017.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that his representation for individual patta and to rectify the discrepancy in FMB with regard to the extent due to shortfall has not been considered despite the mistake crept in the UDR has been pointed out.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader would, on instructions, submit that the representation of the petitioner has been forwarded to the District Revenue Officer and orders thereof would be passed by the District Revenue Officer within a reasonable time.

5. In the light of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this court directs the District Revenue Officer, Kanrhceepuram, to consider the representation of the petitioner in terms of the Government Order in G.O.No.385 dated 17.08.2004 after giving sufficient opportunity to the petitioner and if he finds that there is a mistake crept in the revenue records, he shall set right the mistake pointed out by the petitioner, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly with the above directions. No costs.
