This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the first respondent to accept the petitioner's application for the post of Field Assistant in Tamil Nadu Public Health Subordinate Service by reserve 50% of the post for the candidate, who obtained CMLT Certificate prior to 1997.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous.

3. In view of the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
