ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 10.09.2015.

2. The petitioner herein lodged a complaint as against one Ramesh S/o.Palani on the allegation of cheating to the tune of Rs.40 lakhs. Though the said complaint was lodged as early as on 10.09.2015, no action has been taken on the said complaint so far. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) submits that a detailed enquiry was conducted on the complaint given by the petitioner, and the said complaint was closed as civil in nature. He has also produced a copy of the closure report.

4. Since the complaint given by the petitioner was closed, nothing survives in this petition. Therefore, the petition is dismissed, however, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy in the manner known to law, if he so desires.
