S. Geetha .. Respondent This case has been listed today and came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. The learned counsel for the appellant along with parties are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows: TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The Tribunal has awarded a sum of Rs.3,74,600/-with interest at 7.5% per annum from the date of petition till the date of deposit with proportionate costs as compensation.

2. Aggrieved against the award of the Tribunal, the appellant/Transport Corporation has preferred this appeal.

3. The appellant stated that they are not pursuing the appeal. It is further represented by the appellant/Transport Corporation that they have deposited the entire award amount with interest in the Tribunal. http://www.judis.nic.in

4. In view of the same, the award of the Tribunal is confirmed.

5. The Tribunal is directed to issue the amount through cheque / RTGS to the party concerned on proper identification in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal permission petition. The Civil Miscellaneous Appeal at SR stage is disposed of accordingly.

Counsel for the Appellant This Lok Adalat award is passed in terms of the above settlement. The full Court fee paid shall be refunded to the appellant in the manner provided under Section 69-A of the Tamil Nadu Court-Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955 and the Court Fees Act, 1870 as per sub Sec.1 of Section 21 r/w 25 of LSA Act 1987 as amended in 1994.
