Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records pertaining to the order passed by the first respondent in G.O.Ms.No.266, School Education Department, dated 18.10.2000 and the consequential panel drawn for promotion to the post of P.G. Assistant (Economics) for the year 2008 by the second respondent in his Proceedings No. Nil dated Nil and quash the same and direct the respondents to draw the panel from among the persons who possess both Basic Degree and Master Degree in the same subject and consequently give promotion to the petitioners as P.G. Assistant (Economics).

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) None appears for the petitioners in the writ petition preferred in the year 2008 challenging the panel drawn by the respondents 1 and 2 for promotion.
2. The writ petition was not argued either by the petitioners or by their counsel at any point of time, after its institution. None is present even today. It seems that the petitioners are not interested to pursue the writ petition.
