ORDER

When the case was listed on 05.03.2025, the Court had passed the following docket order:- "The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners have been placed as juniors to their immediate juniors and they were also denied promotion. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioners had filed an Original Application in O.A.No.6945 of 2001 before the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal, Madras and later, the said O.A.No.6945 of 2001 was renumbered as W.P.No.3560 of 2007 on account of abolition of the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal.

2. On the other hand, the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents has produced a copy of a communication dated 05.03.2025 sent by the District Collector, Thiruchirappalli before this Court, wherein, it has been stated that all the petitioners were promoted and they retired from service and also, they were given all pensionary benefits.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners sought time to get suitable instructions as to whether anything survives in this writ petition for further adjudication. 3/6

4. List the case on 07.03.2025."

2. It appears that the learned counsel for the Petitioners has no further instructions with regard to the statement in Para 2 of the aforesaid docket order made by the learned counsel for the 1st to 4th Respondents. It appears that the Petitioners have already been promoted and also retired from service. Therefore, the relief sought for in this Writ Petition has become infructuous.
