This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent police to consider the representation made by the petitioner and to grant permission for conducting a peaceful protest.

2. Heard Mr.CH.Mohith Sai, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondents.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the representation given by the petitioner has been rejected by the second respondent through proceedings dated 27.01.2024.

4. In the light of the above development, the relief as sought for in this writ petition cannot be granted. It is left open to the petitioner to challenge the order of the second respondent in the manner known to law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of.
