ORDER

This Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed to direct removal of the blanket debit freeze issued by the 1st respondent upon the bank account bearing Account No.42437599414 maintained with the 2nd respondent. 2.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Crl. Side) appearing for the 1st respondent and the learned counsel for the 2nd respondent. Perused the materials available on record.

The petitioner is holding account with the 2nd respondent in Account No.42437599414. While being so, on the instructions given by the 1st respondent, the 2nd respondent has frozen the account of the petitioner and did not permit the petitioner to operate his account.

4. The learned counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Crl. Side) appearing for the 1st respondent, on instructions, submits that FIR has been registered against the accused in Crime No.44 of 2025 on the file of the State Cyber Crime Investigation Centre, Chennai. In pursuance of the request made by the investigating agency, now the 2nd respondent has frozen the account of the petitioner. Further, the disputed amount of Rs.27,606.45/-, as per the FIR registered in Crime No.44 of 2025, has been transferred to the petitioner's account.

5. In view of the above, the 2nd respondent is directed to lien over the petitioner's account to the tune of Rs.27,606.45/- and permit the petitioner to operate his account for the remaining amount.
