Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of certiorarified mandamus calling for the records of the first respondent in connection with the impugned order passed by the first respondent in letter Ms.No.1392 Home (Pol.2) Department dated 28.09.2007 and quash the same and direct the first respondent to revise the seniority of the petitioners in the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Category-I as on 1.1.2006 and place the petitioners over and above the promotee Deputy Superintendent of Police, Category-I of the years 1999-2000 and 2000-01 and grant all consequential service and monetary benefits. This matter came up for consideration on an earlier occasion on 25.03.2025 and again on 23.06.2025. On both the occasions, there was no representation for the petitioners. In view of the same, the matter was directed to be listed under the caption 'for dismissal'. Today, inspite of the matter being listed under the caption 'for dismissal', there is no representation for the petitioners either in the pre-lunch or post-lunch session. 2.

In the light of the above, this Court is left with no other option except to dismiss the writ petition for non-prosecution and accordingly, the same is dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
