This Writ Petition has been filed for directing the first respondent to dispose the petitioner's statutory appeal dated 18.04.2023 filed by him under Section 18(1) (4) of Arms Act, 1959, r/w Rule Arms Rules, 2016, pending on the file of the first respondent, within a stipulated period as fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.
3. Considering the limited relief sought for in the petition, this Court without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, directs the first respondent to consider the statutory appeal dated 18.04.2023 made by the petitioner after issuance of notice to the
petitioner and counter parties, if any and after giving opportunity of hearing to them, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
