O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed seeking writ of certiorari to call for the records relating to the impugned show cause notice vide letter No.SC/402415/03 dated 01.09.2006, whereby the petitioner was asked to show cause as to why the penalty of removal from service, specified in Rule 8 of the Tamil Nadu Civil Service (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, shall not be imposed on him.

From the perusal of the record, it is noticed that no interim order was passed by this Court. Under those circumstances, this Court required Mr.V.Nanmaran, learned Additional Government Pleader to get instructions in the matter.

Mr.V.Nanmaran, learned Additional Government Pleader brought to the notice of this Court that pursuant to the impugned show cause notice, the Government passed orders in G.O.(D).No.572 Home (SC) Department dated 21.05.2007, whereby the petitioner was dismissed from service.

In the light of the above, the relief sought in this present writ petition has become infructuous and accordingly, this petition is dismissed as infructous. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
