This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 09.09.2017.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and perused the materials available on record.

3. According to the petitioner, he gave an application dated 09.09.2017 seeking cancellation of patta wrongly issued to the 3rd parties viz., Ilayakannu, Kaliammal under UDR Scheme, in respect of his land in S.No.55/1, an extent of 87 cents. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner filed W.P.No.30941 of 2018 and this Court, by order dated 23.11.2018, directed the respondents therein to consider the petitioner's application. Pursuant to the same, enquiry was also conducted on 13.02.2023. Thereafter, no steps has been taken. Hence, the present writ petition.

4. Considering the limited relief sought in this writ petition, the 2nd respondent is directed to conduct further enquiry, based on the summons issued on 13.02.2023 and pass appropriate orders on merits, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
