ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble S.S.Sundar J.) This suo-motu contempt proceeding was initiated against the contemnor in respect of the proceedings issued by him in Roc.No.K1/10151/2011 dated 25.10.2023, by which, the contemnor not only disobeyed the decision of the Civil Court but also made observation disregarding the judgment and decree passed by the civil court in O.S.No. 35 of 2008 dated 30.04.2008, which was subsequently confirmed by the lower appellate court, this Court, and the Hon'ble Supreme Court. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

2. Today, an affidavit has been filed by the contemnor, Mr. S. Nagarajan, I.A.S., Secretary to Government, (Expenditure FAC), Finance Department, Secretariat, Chennai (Formerly, Commissioner of Land Administration, Chennai), tendering an unconditional apology. Even though a detailed affidavit has been submitted before this Court, the learned Additional Advocate General requests this Court not to go into the merits of the statements made in the affidavit.

3. Accepting the unconditional apology tendered by the contemnor, the contempt petition stands closed.
