ORDER

(Order of the Court was delivered by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) The petitioner is the wife of the detenu - L.Sundaramurthy, aged 60 years. According to the petitioner, the detenu was admitted in the hospital for treatment. When she went away to buy medicine, the detenu was found missing. Under those circumstances, the petitioner had given a complaint. As the detenu could not be traced even thereafter, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that from the year 2017 onwards investigation is going on but, so far no clue has been obtained. 3.In the light of the above, we are not inclined to keep the petition pending any longer, particularly, when the detenu was missing for the past two years. Thus, while directing the 2nd respondent to proceed with the investigation and as and when the detenu is secured, he should be produced before the jurisdictional Magistrate.
