ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to give permission to conduct the cultural programme (Adal Padal Nigalchi) in the event of "Sri Mahasakthi Mariamman Temple Kumbhabhishekam festival" Thandukarampatti Village, Palaiyamputhur Post, Nallampalli Taluk, Dharmapuri District on 01.02.2023 between 6 pm to 11 pm based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.01.2023.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in order to conduct cultural programme on 01.02.2023, from 6.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m., in the Temple Festival of "Sri Mahasakthi Mariamman Temple Kumbhabhishekam festival" Thandukarampatti Village, Palaiyamputhur Post, Nallampalli Taluk, Dharmapuri District, the petitioner has sent a representation, dated 20.01.2023 to the respondents. But, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side), appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondent police has received the representation of the petitioner and the same is pending for consideration.
4. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondents.
5. It is brought to the notice of this Court that the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, had issued a circular memorandum in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019, along with instructions to the Inspectors of Police throughout Tamil Nadu for consideration of applications seeking permission for conducting cultural programme. Therefore, in view of the detailed circular and guidelines issued by the Director General of Police, the respondent police is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 20.01.2023 and pass suitable orders based on the above said circular.
