Crl.M.P. No.1151 of 2022 in Crl. A. No.85 of 2022 M.SUNDAR, J., and R.SAKTHIVEL, J., (Order of the Court was made by M.SUNDAR,J.,) This order will now dispose of captioned 'Criminal Miscellaneous Petition' (hereinafter 'Crl.M.P.' for the sake of brevity).

2. Captioned Crl.M.P. has been filed assailing the 'conviction and sentence dated 20.02.2019 in S.C.No.302 of 2017 on the file of Principal Sessions Judge, Chennai' (hereinafter 'impugned conviction/sentence' for the sake of convenience and clarity) wherein the petitioner/ appellant was handed down life sentence (conviction being under Section 302 of IPC) and a fine of Rs.1,000/-.

3. As regards main criminal appeal, Hon'ble Predecessor Bench in and by proceedings dated 01.03.2022 directed the Registry to prepare typed set of papers and it further directed the main appeal to be listed for final hearing.

4. Today, we are informed that the Registry has since prepared typed set of papers and main appeal is ripe for final hearing. To be noted, Mr.A.Gokulakrishnan, learned State Additional Public Prosecutor for the State is ready to argue the main appeal.

5. Ms.P.Krithika, learned counsel for appellant in the main appeal requests for a short accommodation citing difficulty for the arguing counsel.

6. In the light of the narrative thus far, captioned Crl.M.P. is disposed of as closed albeit preserving the rights of the petitioner/appellant to come up with similar/same prayer if there is undue delay in the main appeal being heard out. In any event, as already alluded to supra, learned counsel for appellant seeks for accommodation today and learned Prosecutor is ready.
